The independent girl’s guide to self-reliant adventuring around the world.
There come’s a time in any young persons life when the 9 to 5 just becomes too much to bare. Usually people get these travels out of their system after uni but some of us have to wait a little longer. But the wait is over. Meaningful, life-making travel is all that matters now.
Welcome to the mind of a 26-year-old Gohemian.
Coined by the Bad Girl herself…Cameron Tuttle, who wrote the Bad Girl Guides to…’Getting What You Want’ and my favourite ‘…The Road’.
Definition: (n) one who lives an unconventional life, (v) to go wild. (“she just couldn’t go back to her old life, so she went Gohemian”).
A description which sums up perfectly where my heart lies, as a Go-Go Girl.
So if you’re ready to Go-Go with me – then I’d better fill you in with ‘The Plan’ for this go-getting, jet-setting blog.
The plan: Two-Thousand-And-Heaven (2011)
Adventures take time, planning and lots and lots of saving, so 2011’s entries are going to be all about fitting awesome little trips around the 9 to 5. And even though it’s frustrating and may seem like a long & difficult time saving, it’s important to continue adventuring, to keep those itchy, itchy feet calm – and at bay.
While there may only be 28 days of holiday you can take this year – you can still do tonnes of fun and exciting things. Make those weekends, Bank Holidays and fake sick-days count my road-ready-gals.
I’ll also be covering the lead up to the all-important adventure trip, all the planning, tips and advice I can gather – I will share.
Delving into the unknown. 2012’s year-long enlightenment / mind-boggle / adventure fest. Woooooooooohooooooooooooo!
My trip to date:
Taste the freedom as you had in your notice, pick up those boarding passes, dance the go-go dance at your leaving party and hit the road Jack! Let’s do this GOHEMIANS!
